Sticky Banana, Walnut and Date Bread

Where oh where has September gone?

My blog now has abandonment issues. The last few weeks have been crazy, but if you asked I actually wouldn't be able to pinpoint exactly why. Just a combination of work, multiple uni assignments and admittedly a little loss of my blogging mojo. It wasn't until I flicked back to my earlier posts that I realized in four days, I would have had this blog for exactly one year. One year! Seriously, where's the time gone?

Candied Sesame Walnuts & Snapshots of my Hometown

It's been a while (again)! But I have a better excuse this time; I've been away to my hometown Hong Kong (again) over my uni break and in going to the opposite hemisphere I left my blogging duties behind (yes, again). It isn't that I haven't been baking, either - I made a total of three cakes in three weeks of which I only took photos of two, but neither were particularly blog-worthy. And while it seems that writing a post on walnuts after one on pecans is overly nutty (pun intended - I'm hilarious), these candied walnuts are amazing. But more on that in a sec.

Kitchen Sink Granola

Hello, hello, hello! I have neglected my blogging duties for a while due to exams, which turned me into a hermit for two weeks. But exams are over and that means the blogging begins again!

Whole Wheat Apple & Walnut Cake

My posts have been lagging lately - I'm not losing interest, I swear, but December is hectic.  What with the holidays, Christmas, plane trips, family obligations and that ever-looming apocalypse, I have to plan ahead to find time and bake.  And let's face it, I'm not good at planning ahead.

Sweet Overload

I'm off to Tasmania in a couple of days, which means I'm going to disappear from this blog for a week or so.    Not to worry, though, I've had a rather full sweet-filled weekend, so here comes an overload!
